This system takes our patent-pending kinetic energy transfer system to the next level with 10% slimmer cartridge profile for increased penetration, and an advanced double-cut hinge system that requires less force to open.
Its advanced double-cut hinge system allows the cartridge to deploy with significantly less kinetic energy than our original Backdraft system.
At its core, Black Rhino is a fail-safe fixed blade broadhead wrapped in our patent-pending thermal deforming cartridge — engineered to penetrate, delay, deform, and transfer kinetic energy where it matters most.
On impact, the piercing tip penetrates first, helping establish the broadhead's path, especially on steep-angle shots.
Then, as the broadhead continues penetrating, the cartridge continues to deform under force, transferring kinetic energy deeper into the animal where it matters most.
